The Race of Gentleman - 2nd Annual

on your mark...set...Go!
In just under a year later, the Oilers Car Club pulled off yet another fantastic weekend of vintage car and motorcycle racing, on the Jersey Shore.  Although the event moved south, to Wildwood, the main event on the beach was just as spectacular.

Just a laid back atmosphere, some racing, and then sprinkle in some motorcycle antics from the Maestro of Mayhem, Mel Shultz.  See some of the photos from the event:

The Fog came out of no where on Saturday...

The only question, will they bring it back to Allenhurst / Loch Arbour, if not, they should set up a spot for the makeshift car show by the spectators, that filled the streets last year.

10.19.12 - Just possibly one of the coolest things I have heard of, let alone, attend...in a long time

The Race of Gentlemen in Allenhurst, NJ.

Pre and Post War bikes and hot rods racing on the beach.  A large number of other cars, hot rods, bikes, trucks all showed up to show off along the streets, but the main attraction was the event on the beach, old school drag racing!
I can only hope (fingers crossed) along with many others, that this event happens again next year, and even that seems too long to wait...I can see this becoming one of the most anticipated shows on the East Coast.

Here are some of my favorite shots of mine from the day:

You know one had to be in black and white....

The Man behind the event...

More to come tomorrow - apparently there is a limit to the amount of photos in each post...
